Unhappy PayPal ... and non delivery of goods

I'm new to this e-bay thing .... it was going great, I was ordering (winning) things on e-bay - buying via PayPal and stuff was arriving really quickly.

All good .....

Now, I was looking for some Batteries for my model boat. These are hard to come by and non were listed on e-bay (not in the correct configuration anyway). However, one e-bay company who had many batteries listed said to contact them for requirements not listed ..... so, I did.

I received communications which said that they had just what I wanted, they hadn't 'got around' to listing them on e-bay as yet ... but I could buy direct from them.

So, I placed an order for 3 OFF ...... plus postage (1st Class Royal Mail).

Paid via PayPal.

An e-mail arrived very soon after the Order was placed saying that the goods have been dispatched .... not from the other side of the world, but from Wales. That was middle of last week. I was 'hoping' they would arrive last Friday - they didn't. Saturday maybe? Nah. OK, Monday ...... nope. Today, last chance, NOTHING!

Now, could be a genuine error - or, I may have been scammed .... cannot leave bad feedback on e-bay as I bought outside of that. What about PayPal - will they refund me?

BUGGER!!

Just wait a few days or drop them a mail, It can take a while for stuff to arrive. You have up to 3 months to claim if nothing arrives. Give it 2 weeks and then put a claim in via the paypal resolution section. I bought some parts of a site (not ebay) using paypal, noting arrived and I claimed and got my money back pretty quick.

No you should not if they state 1st class postage, but they may not have posted it yet.

Check the feedback they have, if all look's good I would not worry to much yet.

it will arrive soon, i bet you a million pounds, this is one of the reasons your a bad customer, ill bet a million pounds it will arrive in a couple of days (assuming you bought off a reputable seller with 100% feedback). Things will never go as smoothly as you want them too, and ****ting yourself and sending emails out, posting worried threads on the interweb and ringing up and shouting at staff will not get the ball rolling any quicker and just wind yourself up further.

Get a hobby for ***** sake and stop harrasing retailers up and dnown the land with your insignificant purchases, they will have to spend 3 working days chasing **** up cos your the type whos never happy with anything, when they could have made 15 times the comission they made from you by not selling to you and selling 15 other things to 15 other people who wont have problems with every aspect of the transaction!

Honestly mate you will get to the poiont that no one wants your business on the high street and you will be forced down the independant road and they, cos they work for themselves, will **** you off at the slightest hint of tw@ syndrome

seriously pal get a hobby, you need something to occupy a mind thats obviously used to have a project to work and is bored sh1tless, build a caterham or something, you can afford it, right?

Give it at least a week before kicking up.

Last thing I sold, the guy won on Monday night and was all stroppy with me on Wednesday because the auction said "next day" delivery. The auction actually said ships within 3 working days via next day. He got the item Thursday morning, well within promised time.

He won't leave feedback because of my tardy shipping. Utter throbbing one.

I think if you sent the money for goods you might be OK if they don't turn up, if it was sent as gift I think you aren't covered.

As above fella, as long as you dint send the money as "a gift" paypal will usually always side with the buyer!

I learnt this the hard way a couple of weeks back and shall never again be using the send as a gift scheme!!he he

Don't encourage him he'll be requesting a refund before doing the logical thing and contacting the seller.

Or this transaction never existed and Petes not had his meds

Can someone explain PayPal 'gift' to me?

I'm sure it just went through as a normal transaction ....

And I'm a model Customer! I simply demand what I have paid for ... no more, no less - simple really.

I thought that PayPal retain the cash until they receive feedback that the transaction was completed to the customer's satisfaction.

No, the seller will receive the money. Paypal only retain money if a dispute is raised or they suspect the transaction is fraudulent.

All Pete needs to do is log into Paypal and raise a non receipt of goods dispute with said transaction. Seller will then have to submit proof of delivery. If no proof is given, then Paypal will refund the transaction.

All the seller has to do is prove he sent it and paypal will do **** all. I hope you have a fax machine as all responses have to be faxed in and if you don't do it by a certain time they judge in favour of the seller.

Well, the seller claims the items were posted 1st class last Wednesday 29th September.

They have told me to go to the Post Office Depot today to ask about it ... which I am about to do.

Failing that I guess I raise it with PayPal ... if they do nothing then it's the small claims court.

Maybe it will all come good in the end, no-one really wants to take me on ... I am the Consumers Champion!!

You don't have my tastes .... you would buy me a nice pink fluffy one with 'My Pony' pictures on it, like yours.

I would much rather have a Crocodile Skin version plastered with useful pockets for knives, guns and stuff ..... pictures of Clint Eastwood on the outer surfaces.
