Loved these and the Mary Whitehouse Experience.

I had audio tapes of nearly all the MWE radio shows.....till my mum threw them out last year

I was one of those, but that is still not funny.

Baddiel is a very overated "comedian". If it wasn't for his liaison with Frank Skinner, he would never have made it. He's a bit like Neil Morrisey is to Martin Clunes, Ernie Wise to Eric Morecambe or Sid Little to Eddie Large.

Surely you can say the same for most of the "straight" men. Still takes a bit of ability though.

Of course Les, but the difference is that David Baddiel doesn't think he is the "straight" man so-to-speak.

There have been the odd successful double act with two funny guys, like the 2 Ronnies, but there aren't many.

I agree with you about Baddiel, he has never impressed me anyway. Yes there have not been that many really good double acts, but those that were certainly worth seeing, and the straight men were all part of the acts' success.
