Default Help! - COmpany Fuel Cards

Hi Everyone

Anyone know about fuel cards!?

We have a bit of a dilemma at our company - fuel cards.
We currently have 3 cards for each driver these are

Key Fuels - problem, they are useless service for us etc & want to cancel them

Arval/Snax 24 Local Account Cards - problem, many of the cards have been cancelled through lack of use & they want a fortune to re-instate them & for the new cards.

Fast Fuel - Texaco, working great but not many petrol stations accept the card

So boss man is looking at the company credit card side & looking at the costs etc to issue a 1 card per driver & have done with it - plus its only pump price we pay.

My great task is to try & find a super dooper fuel car (if this exists ) that will be like the credit card - you can use it anywhere, pay pump prices (not over inflated prices for the privilege) & it lets the lads just get diesel (where a credit card they can buy anything etc

Anyone any ideas on a fuel card company?????

Thanks

we used to have 1 called Allstar iirc, it could be used anywhere in the country and at any pump.

Not sure what the company paid for the privilige though.....

We have Shell cards for the fleet at work. There are options you can choose on the cards so they can be limited to just fuel (or it might be fuel and oil) if you want.

IIRC you can use them at BP garages too.

Allstar here too lets you buy fuel, oil, and use of the car wash too!!
Ours have the reg no of the van printed on them so any driver using the van can use the card with that vehicle.

cheers guys, had a look at the Allstar card its by Arval who we have a different card with that seems to be useless & they want a fortune to re-instate & use again. Will speak to the boss tomorrow & Arval Allstar & see about cancelling the couple of old cards & see about starting again with the Allstar cards.
Oh just a quickie, do you pay pump prices with the Allstar card?

we use to use allstar with our fleet of 43,000 vehicles, but it turned out expensive so we now have a dedicated fuel card i.e. total, texaco etc depending on your local fuel stations. For a small fleet, allstar would be ideal as many garages take allstar including tesco.

I used to have one for Esso, plenty of fuel stations around but obviously limited to Esso's only, did not have any problems filling up ever as you can get a list of where they are off their website.
