Default Where is the best place to sell Gold?

I found a ring today in the street, I want to try and sell it what are my best options ? Can you just go to a pawn shop and sell for cash? Or maybe one of these web sites that you send the gold to ??

I dont I'm no expert, but it has an 18 mark on the inside so I assumed that it might mean its 18 carat gold.

it's not sounding good mate, see if these tally up with any hallmarks on the ring http://www.goldbroker.co.uk/gold-hallmarks.html

Ask your dentist where he sells all his old gold fillings which he keeps. He'll know some little old man that has a drawer full of cash and a weighing machine

I am interested as well. I found a ring in the street today as well.

It was a bugger to get off the finger but with the right persuasion it came free immediately.

I was going to post an amusing picture but after googling "finger ring off" I went a bit pale and had a lie down.

Can I start?

Well what your doing is theft. You should take it along to your local Police Station and hand it in.
It may well mean an awful lot to the person who lost it.

How can you sleep at night?

Can see her now,the 90 year old widow, having walked 6 miles,in the snow and ice,her hands numb, rubbing them together to keep warm, and the ring drops off

she returns home, looks in the cupboard for something to eat, there is nothing, only bread and some moldy cheese, she makes a sandwich, and then notices the ring of her late husband has gone

She gets on her hands and knees, and looks all over the house for the ring she has lost, she has no other family or friends to help her look, she collapses in the rocking chair exausted at 5 in the morning

when she wakes she decides to walk the 6 miles in a blizzard to the police station, and askes if there has been a ring handed inthe sargent says yes, shows her the ring, and yes,it is her late husbands.

just goes to show, there are still a few honest people in the country
