That looks seriously impressive - is it that good in actual operation?

If it is it will be world beating.

Jobs is going to be hard at work on iPad 2!

Certainly looks impressive. Unless the iPad 2 delivers the cameras, USB, connectivity etc that is rumored, then this might be a winner. Hate Blackberries though with a passion so lets hope they do something different

why didn't they let anyone play with them at the launch ?

no flash on the ipad is a little irritating.

as long as there's a slew of rss readers, book/pdf readers, remote desktop control, basic office doc editing, it'll do okay

the ipad has too much momentum to get pwn'd by this though. ipad 2 will be out Q2-2011 and then there'll be a 7" mini ipad too

I'd say that they did not allow people to play with them as the hardware isn't completely final yet. I wonder who provides the eReading service on the device

It'll bomb. Battery life will either be useless or it will weigh a ton. Any news on price? A grand probably. And if you think it'll be 'open' then think again.

Still, I'd take it over the Samsung effort.

i bought the 3G ipad and have yet to use the 3G part! most modern phones can do wifi tethering so its not strictly needed but good for a backup!

Same here, got the 3G but only used a few Mb at most so far on 3G, just seems slow as hell compared to wifi anyway lol.

Looking forwards to this hitting the market though, and actually getting a play with one. Add to my collection lol

I am not so sure that flash is a big selling point to be honest.

I have not ran flash on my phone (when i put android2.2 on it) for around 2/3 months now and i dont miss it at all.

Never bothered me in the slightest.

My beef with this Blackberry tablet, is that i still dont really see why i would need one, yes my ancient X22 IBM thinkpad lappy is on its last legs, but is it worth replacing it with a tablet ?

Not sure it is.

Same situation for any of the current tablets though surely? If you dont feel the need for one, then its prob not worth having one.
I am interested to see how it all pans out, as a few ideas batted around at market research stage sounded good.

If all turns out the way it was suggested, as a Blackberry user it could prove very handy for me to have, especially in the evening when the function of my Blackberry changes. We shall see, but im personally definatly interested in one.

As for the flash part of it. Will be nice to see how the web browsing experience changed between this and my iPad.

And if it sorts out the double posting on here I definatly want one lol

Very odd post. You never see us apple fans posting like that.

Anyway I am sure Blackberry are happy that they have their first customer

I like the specs on it, certainly will be worthwhile to look at and test it. Not sure the tethering/lack of 3G is a good move based on their business model and handset philosophy ??

I see that they are touting the price as being nearer the lower side of existing tablets. That would be impressive to say the least if they managed to pull that off
