Well you or your partner/mother/sister/whoever does the shopping.

Just interested as I am sure everyone has their favourite!

We did use Tesco but after a Sainsbury's opened up, we tried it and found that although we didn't save any money compared to Tesco, the fruit/veg and fresh meat were all of a much better quality.

Asdas for me and Nat. Find it cheapest for a mixture of branded and own brand products. Tried Sainsburys and Tesco swell. Tesco wasn't as good a quality for the own brand stuff and Sainsburys was more expensive for the same stuff essentially.

Tesco but only because there is a huge one five mins up the road, all the others would involve a drive across town. Nearer Christmas I will go to Lidl for stuff like stollen and marzipan chocolates. Our local Asda is in a rough area so always dodgy looking people hanging around outside (I fit in nicely but my brother's wife is frightened to shop there for that reason). I think the nearest Waitrose is over an hour away, never been in one.

Use Asda now and again but this last year we've started using Aldi more....good choice of food and we can get 99% of weekly things there (odd few items they dont do like sweetners) plsu we find the weekly bill around £10-20 less than Asda.
Also its never that busy so easy in and easy out.

We have a local aldi about 5 minutes walk up the road. Mrs loves to go in for Xmas treats, chocolates and mince pies etc as they are always really good she says. Foreign stuff at aldi isn't it? Mayb she's more partial to foreign treats

I hate shopping if I do have to go I drive 8 miles to sainsburys. You seem to get less of the morons parking their trollies in the middle of the ailses there.

Actually I use four;

Aldi for the cheap stuff
Makro for the bulk stuff (beer, washing powder, bog roll etc)
and Waitrose or Marks and Sparks for the posh/nice stuff

Meat comes from the local butchers though.

Marks and Sparks definetly has the best totty. Followed closely by Waitrose, this does have a slight influence on my shopping habits

I love Aldi though - always quiet and loads of interesting junk in the middle to rummage though...last week I bought a load of gutter guard...£2.50 for 6metres! Bargain! Marley gutter guard is £1.70 per metre!

We use Sainsburys for convenience as it's just down the road. For 3 of us, it costs between £80-100 a week depending on how much alcohol we buy

I used to have to bone "fresh new zealand lamb" for a certian well known supermarket, and even after we trimmed the green bits off it was not fit to feed your dog.
