BBC considering ditching Legard
At last - some good news!

'Brundle is the most influential member of the F1 set-up and is known to favour working with another commentator. Aussie Charlie ***, who does MotoGP for the Beeb, is being mooted as a possible replacement for the popular Legard.'

Get Krun Chandhok or Anthony Davidson in, they are great. Granted you may miss the commentry of an overtake manouvre when they (and Martin) are discussing some detail about the height of the curbs on turn 14 with the new tarmac and how Mansell in '88 managed to get round there over 5mph faster than any rival. But I'd much rather have the technical commentry as I can clearly see when someone is making a move and don't need to be told as such.

Legard is awful, but Crofty would be great.

Haha! He does say this at least 5 times per race!
Legard is terrible - I thought things couldn't be worse than James Allen, but Legard has proved me wrong! He's just soo annoying!
I think it is hard to get a decent pairing for Brundle however. When it was Brundle and Murrey it used to be great as Brundle provided the tech details, and Murrey all the historical knowledge as well as his genuine enthusiasm for the sport which really showed through. Murrey maybe should've retired a bit earlier than he did, as he was losing his sharpness, but still made great commentry.
I would agree David Croft and Karun Chanduk are both excellent - with Anthony Davidson as a third option.

***? he cuts in a speaks over Steve more than Legard talks over Brundle!!
Davidson would be good but I guess they're worried it would end up being too technical.
