Apple are about to "Change Everything" again
That's right folks, get ready for a new round of Apple bashing on here when Apple reveal the new iTV.
Imagine the power of iOS on your TV, all of the iPhone/iPad applications right there in your living room. iAds will enable new broadcasters to emerge. And so much more.
$99.00
Who's buying?

Version 1 will have no sound
Version 2 will have sound but still black and white pictures
Version 3 will add colour pictures
Version 4 will get a screen big enough to watch on
Version 5 will get a fix to poor signal introduced in version 4
Version 6 will get different coloured cases.
and the "foamers" will clamour to buy each version.

Lots of hate already I see.
TV not touchscreen, well just hook up your touchscreen device, you can already do that with the Apple TV, which by the way is already a fantastic product. Me, I'll just use my Magic Trackpad, which is Magic!
You can already run the Apple app store on your Laptop? That's some clever hacking there. Compare laptop application sales and usage to iOS, people don't buy PC applications anymore, hell even companies are going Google for there application needs at a rate of knots.
Apple already pay Cisco to use the iPhone trademark, a few peanuts to ITV is no great shakes.
No whining about iAds yet?
The potential, timing and revenue stream to enable Apple to finally nail IPTV is all in place.
Mark my words, this will be extremely successful, I haven't been wrong about Apple products yet and it's all documented on Scoobynet if you don't believe me.
Buy stock now, Television as we know it is ready for change. Apple is a $400 stock.

All the hate makes me sick as well, why is it that Scoobynet is 95% negative? What happened around here? There was a time when members appreciated innovation rather than imitation. A reflection on the Subaru brand perhaps.

iPoducts is more about the commercial and marketing concept moreso than the actual product. Genius as it is, not everyone buys into it. SN is no exception.
Long ago, there was an exception: Imprezas. There was a time Snetters would think the Impreza was the best car ever made. Better than anything in the twisties. I called bulls**t on that statement when I bought one and first understeered on a wet roundabout, suffered the infamous "back end bite" (no damage - thankfully) and found the brakes overheated after the third high speed stop. Nobody would listen though and the arguments became equally nauseating. If it was that good, why does Whiteline exist and why does Ian Godney sell so many brake kits? Yeah, it was good, but not that good.
So transferring that to iPoducts: Good, but not that Good. Bit like an Impreza really

No, no, it'll use your existing TV, just like the current Apple TV but will run iOS4 which mean all the greatness of the iPad and iPhone on your TV. The biggest change will be with streaming TV, once the broadcasters see the massive revenue stream they'll be in like Flynn. Of course you'll be able to sync your Photos and other content from your existing devices.

I can see some sense in your post Ali-B, but it falls down when you state that Apple products are all about the marketing, if that was true then why is every new smart phone an iPhone clone, surely Google, HTC, RIM and the like didn't fall for the hype? Why will you see a slew of iPad clones in the new few months, marketing again or a recognised need?

Marketing is of course a factor, but what Apple do is bring to market fantastic and innovative products. What you were implying is that Apple are fooling us all with marketing tricks which just isn't correct.

Incredible product, that would I'm sure be awesome on an iPad or in a workshop on an iTV. Thanks for highlighting it.

The only thing funny about these trheads is the way people take Jack seriously. He has to be on a wind up, either that or he is Steve Jobs as no one can be this fanatical about anything let alone a cynical technology company.

Not convinced about the new atv. I like my current atv as I can patch it to run xbmc which I find more flexible than the built in options. I could do the same things I do with an atv with a cheap pc, and I do use xbmc on my xbox.

I like Apple stuff but I don't like the bizzare corporate cult that surrounds them. The young people working in their stores creep me out a bit with their zeal like religious acolytes.
