Default Extreme Element experience day hell - avoid

My other half bought me a voucher for my birthday so I could go drifting.

Really excited about it I go online and use my voucher. I was offered only two dates so I picked Sunday the 15th August (yesterday). I get up early, jump in the scoob and drive 2+ hours to Santa pod for a day of drifting at the JDM allstar academy.

Get there at 8.15am and there is a queue of Mini's....

I get out of car go to gate and the guy looks at me and says "It's not Jap fest" I said I've booked a drift experience and he was rather a *** and told me mini day no drifting. Nothing else, no advice just a basic get lost.

I phone the number on the booking slip and leave a voicemail with my number. They text me to say they don't do sundays!! Not even a call. Got in touch with the booking agent and told it's the drift peoples fault. Won't give a refund or any money towards the £50 petrol bill. I can go on a Weds mid september! Great M25 and M1 during rush hour.

So JDM allstars academy - Crap
Extreme Element - Crap

Please avoid the above as they really don't care once they have your money. I'm gutted and my poor other half chucked £350 down the toilet.

Pay me £50 and I'll send you on a proper drift course.

It may involve sitting in shopping trolley that's been hurled round a bend

I'd bet you'd actually show up for it though so it would have been a far better cheaper experience

credit card?

charge it back but be careful what you say to your credit card company. Its best to check on money saving expert to make sure you say the right think otherwise they will refuse the claim!

Looks like rotten organisation and very bad customer service to me.

They should pay you back in full including all expenses.

I would threaten them with the small claims court.

I did a Porsche driving experience there for my 30th (so a few years ago now!!) and they were well organised with excellent instructors.

The irish bloke who has something to do with the JDM allstars is reported to be a bit of a bellend, a few of my mates have met him and said he is a bit of a knobber.

Never met him myself, although he was at the JDM allstars drifting event up this way a few weeks back and i saw him doing a bit of MC`ing to work up the crowds.

I think something else is in the drifting pipeworks anyway for next year from the rumours i have heard, and they dont involve the irish bloke.

The bloke who i bought my scooby from years ago is one of the JDM drifters, he is a good bloke, not half changed though from the bloke i bought the car from, he **** his pants when we "checked the scoobys clutch" by doing a full blown drag start

The booking agent keeps promising to call, but don't. Apparently it's a manager we waiting on.

JDM people have emailed me last night asking for my number to disscuss it. They have said it was a mix up by them and the booking agent. Not very helpful is it as they will want me to do this date in sept that I can't do and the booking agent just doesn't want to issue a refund

Prestwold is not all chocolate and flowers mind you,
When I went there they had supercars to the left and rally day to the right, both either full or half days.
I had a hald day rally ticket and it was excellent, started in karts, then a prepped nova, then a RWD jap followed by a beaten up cossie and then onto the evo5s.
Great instruction and nothing was too much trouble,
Some of the others had done the suprecar half day first and said it was crap, nothing over 3k revs, loads of other fun killers and they were really relieved to have the rally half afterwards.
