Aircraft with only one wing would either roll uncontrollably or enter a spin or spiral dive which would be just as "final". Luckily I have to admit I have never been in the position to prove that one way or the other.
The airliner splashdown was very competently done on the face of it, but I was wondering how he managed to fly over those buildings and then manage to turn right tightly enough to line the aircraft up to be able to make a controlled final landing in that spot at threshold speed in the time available on the video.

The Eagle pilot must have been able to kill nearly all lift on the good wing with aileron and by landing at such a high speed there was enought lift generated by the fuselage to allow him to dump it on the ground the right way up. Cant imagine how he was able to stop it though! Must have been a long runway.
