Question DOOM

Scared myself witless playing this game many moons ago .....

It was made into a film, then a DVD .....

I'm never the first buyer, that way I save myself pots of money .....

The DVD is now £2:50 delivered - but cannot bring myself to buy it in case it is crap (even at that price!)

Anyone seen it? Any good?

It's an absolute load of tosh and was just so far from the games it's unreal. It's fairly standard action film sci-fi fare, with a few nods to the old games and a rather large nod to the most recent game in the series. Pretty poor but it's only £2.50, amazed it's not in the pound shop already though.

Pete don't bother, use your £2.50 to rent Clash of the Titans on Blu-ray. Watched it the other night and loved it!

Only my opinion but no, it isn't. Sold my PS3 very quickly due to it being dung. That Sony blu-ray player has far superior playback and is quieter.

I've seen worse films, main plus point is it has Rosamund Pike in it.

Yum.

Cool

As long as you realise it's justa bit of fun, it's quite good. The Rock hams it up and karl Urban doesn't it take too seriously either.

The first person shooter sequence towards the end is a good nod to the game

Doom I quite liked. Mindless but good fun - not enough FPS time though.
