Seen a few and its a good show. IT Crowd is also funny in the "geeks can be funny" genre.
I think one episode of BBT had the fit bird from Sarah Conner Chronicles in it.

as a self confessed geek who's seen basically every show and film they make references to, I think it's hilarious

Tremendous show. Downloaded them all, and the latest series. Sheldon is so funny.
I watched the pilot episode the other day, funny to see how they changed characters, and altered it.
