iPhone Reception & Charging Problems

iPhone Reception & Charging Problems
The still current Mrs Puff is a technophobe. She's not only that, she is also incompetant
Anyhow, no-one was more surprised than me when she asked for an iPhone as her u/grade and became the proud owner of a 3G 8gb. Sure as eggs is eggs, she struggled to understand how it worked and complained about reception at our house - which is in the middle of nowhere with a dodgy O2 signal anyway! Her "friend" managed to dunk the first one in wine, so I took it to the Apple Store and she paid for a new one. Then she moaned about reception and Apple swapped it out about a year ago. She still hated it and 1/2 the time its never charged and she forgets to take it anywhere. Around Christmas though, someone stood on it and cracked the screen. She continued to use it and moan about it but recently she said its not been charging despite having bought a new charger. So she arranges an appointment at the local Apple Store...
She wanders in and starts to talking to the tech (poor b'stard!) and moans about the reception and the charging. He listens to her for 1/2 hour, checks it out as all OK and she's just about to stump up for a replacement when he turns round and says "you've obviously not been happy, so we will replace it FOC"!!!!
That evening she spends time putting her contacts in etc and I wander over and look at what she's up to. I notice that the unit is not charging, so follow the wire and see that she has it inserted in a random ventilation slot that is more or less the same size as a USB socket...
"That's where I always put it..."

Fan-fecking-tastic and LOL!
My other half is pretty much the same technology wise and the problems are never her fault. Her current phone apparently keeps switching off and the battery dies with a day - she has a spare batt and usb charging leads and it still happens, i swapped sim cards from hers to mine and guess what, no problems with her phone but mine is 'playing up'
i am introducing her to the expression 'common denominator' at the moment

I would of thought the DVD source button on the amp gave it away.
The world would be better place with women leaving technology and cars well alone

How about this.......
After taking my lad to watch Shrek 3 in 3D we had some green Shrek 3D glasses in the car. Now, the other day we are driving along and I put them on for a laugh and said "Wow, everything is in 3D" to which she excitedly asked for a go, only to be disappointed and say "No it's not" and hand the glasses back to me.
She didn't quite understand why I was in stitches

What a funny thread. My now ex gf is always going things like this. If i wrote them all down (no chance i can remember them all) I could write the worlds best ever comedy book!

I,m using a SE phone at the mo, so is the mrs
I have a charger downstairs which we both use, i have one at work as a
backup & one upstairs just in case
Went to charge the phone last week.....
No charger.... a quick scout round, no charger either up or downstairs...
A quick chat to the Mrs, finds it's at her works.... why because she
forgot to charge it and it went flat, so she charged it at work...
I can see the logic there... So where is the other charger then...
At work!
Why?
She took it to work as a backup so if the phone forgot to be charged at
home she'd have a charger at work

I was watching Denmark V's Japan, when the mrs got in she tried to seem interested (she doesn't like footy) "who's playing"
so i told her "Denmark and Japan"
Her next question "which team is Japan"
Now not trying to be racist i had to say "which do you think"
To which she replied "i don't know, i don't know any Japanese footballers"
Aaron

Thing is it isn't just women, a conversation I witnessed on leaving the IMAX in Manchester having just watched Avatar in 3D.
Girl: That was just so amazing wasn't it?
Boyfriend: Yes, it was much better than I thought it was going to be.
Girl: Visually it was fantastic
Boyfrind: Yes, but it was quite blurry for a lot of it, and I didn't really get the 3D thing, maybe we were too close.
Girl: You just need to get used to the 3D glases
Boyfriend: What 3D glasses?
