See there lies the problem no one will ever know if any of these Afgan soldiers have been corrupted or are covert ready to react when called on, there will never be any certanty of this not happening again.

They did this a few years ago killed 5 British> afgan trained soldier and he was never caught!

Usual story of politicians wanting to *leave their mark*, or *do things their way* when, if they just looked at their history lessons they'd realise that it just isn't going to happen *their way*. But they all get into power promising *change*. When all we want is the same as before but better .....

It will be interesting to see what JonMc has to say about that sort of thing. It was reported that the Taliban are in the habit of telling the men in the Afghan army that if they cooperate with the allied forces they will get their heads cut off when the allies withdraw! I would feel a bit uneasy working with people who have been told that. That may be a bit of tabloid journalism for effect but JonMc may be able to put us right in that respect. There may well be Afghan soldiers who also object strongly to having an occupying force in their country too.
There will be a lot more than meets the eye of course. What a difficult situation for our forces of course.
