SAS join keystone cops in hunt for Moat
What next ..Could they not deploy a few thousand tanks, cruise missiles and some nuclear weapons? Also how about getting a couple of RN destroyers, a nuclear submarine and an aircraft carrier into one of the local rivers....
just a thought

I think I get what you are saying, but what is the alternative? Not deploy resources you have, and then maybe have someone shot dead who did not need to be? Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

That woman is a typical NL type making excuses which wont wash and telling the exact opposite of what is actually going on as far as protection for the general public is concerned

Leslie - get with the times - we have the New ConDems now
I think they should just nuke the North East. It they target it correctly it is likely to cause billions of pounds worth of improvements.

Moat will be sunning himself on the Costa Del Crime with Lord Lucan and Osama Bin Laden.
I bet ITV are already drawing up the script for their "Drama Premiere" on this one. They'll probably call it "The Fugitive". I wonder if Ross Kemp and Sarah Lancashire can do Geordie accents?

Do you think the copper shot by this nutter is a keystone cop?
I guess that if you think it through you might come to the conclusion that this nutter is a real mnace and may well kill again, use of special forces lessens the chances of this and is also good real life training and practice for them. They would be paid the same sat on thier bums in hereford so why not have them out there.

only reason sas are involved is because in his letter he has said he wont hurt another civilian but he will hurt a cop.
no bout if it wasnt like this then they probably wouldnbt be looking so hard.

He is apparently a mate of 2 of my friends, don't think i have met the bloke myself, although i was told on Sunday that he had been to a few modded car meets with a chap from this forum.
Coppers have been pulling in mates of his for questioning, one lad was locked up for 6 hours and armed police raided his garage looking for him, not good for business.
My car wash mate down the road knows him and has been pestered by reporters, and they have been trying to add him in facebook to trick him into saying something.
Its all going a bit mental up here now to be honest.

To be honest, i doubt its the SAS, one of the lads i employ was in Serbia (iirc) and he was on a little mission to retrieve a stolen officers gun, they knew the bloke who aledgedly did it was in some hospital, so they went in, dragged him out and gave him a right old kicking, then handed him over to some interrogation lot.
The press over here reported it as a crack SAS mission my employee still has the paper clippings, almost famous

Trust me at no point are they sat around. Resources are not what they used to be and its joint SF now .. it could be anyone from UKSF. Could well even be SFSG as they are the QRF.

Her force was informed of the danger presented to the woman who was shot by the release of Moat having served 2 months of a 4 month sentence for causing bodily harm. They did nothing about her protection and she was making all the standard excuses which wont wash and later telling us all how the protection of the public was the main concern of her and her force! Her appearance on the TV was pretty transparent in that respect.
I am sure there will be all sorts of regulations why they did not protect that woman Felix, but that is not the point is it?

I wonder how many cons spout a load of threats as they leave prison? If the police investigated all of them, they wouldn't do anything else. It appears though that this nutter actually went through with his threat.

So use the SAS, they are use to escape and evasion techniques, use dogs, not a 100% method but not bad for picking up a trail, then you have night sun on the helecopters and infared heat sensing equipment, so unless he is running around the sewers, they will eventually find him though sooner would be better
