Default world cup final. yellow card, anyone, everyone??

ffs, nearly every player is aiming for one by the looks of it....notice the players are keeping a respectful distance from the vinny-jones-esque english ref, rather than the usual in-yer-face bullying.

Silky Smooth Spainards 1

Dirty Dip5hit Dutch 0

The best team won....End Of!!

If you think playing like the dutch was OK, letsl see how you like a football boot with full-on studs in the chest, at speed, and full force. That clearly was the worst tackle of all but there were plenty of other bad fouls from the Dutch coming through thick and fast. If that's how they play football in the Netherlands you can keep it!! The Dutch looked thoroughly miserable at the end and that's no surprise baring in mind they couldn't even win a game of football playing so dirty.

I would rather have seen Germany and Spain in the final. At least the losing players would have been proud to have played a hard but fair game. The Dutch should feel ashamed of themselves playing like that. Dirty Bas*ards!!

Well the Ref. was English and the only Englishman to do something on the pitch in the whole tournament!

It was a pretty poor match for the big final I reckon.

The ref had a permanent twitch in his yellow card pocket, the standard of play was poor, the Dutch were not to be trusted and the Spanish fell over even when no one touched them.

The ref also missed the corner which the Dutch should have had just before the goal kick allowed the Spanish to score the winning goal. That could have changed the whole result.

The Dutch were dangerous on the break and Spain nearly got caught out on more than one occasion but thanks to Casillas none of those opportunities came to much. He really saved Spains bacon!!

Like Paul said, Spain were all over the Dutch and the best team won!! It's clear to see that in the end quality football won out!! Karate kicks and violent tackling doesn't make for a good game and as such whoever dishes it out will never win!!

I sincerely hope Dutch supporters give their team a hard time because this kind of behaviour is very un-dutch. I know lots of Dutch people and they are some of the nicest europeans you'll ever come across. And i love their canal side cafe's too

Roll on Brazil 2014!! Viva Espana!!

They were saying that he held back on sending too many off to keep the match going. Don't know what to say about that if it was true.

Whatever the Dutch bad play and the Spanish exaggerated diving, it was a mistake not to award that corner. The hit on the Spaniard's shoulder during the free kick was shown in the replay and was pretty apparent.

It was as I said, a disappointing match anyway.
