Default How to get rid of a really hairy ***** ??

Now I have your attention, our moggie Charlie of late, has picked up a terrible habit of just molting, shedding cat hair everywhere. He is in perfect health, just this bloody furball is getting worse

Everytime you give him a stroke, you get covered in the stuff.

He is both an outdoors and indoors cat, pretty much does whatever the **** he likes.

Any ideas aside from shaving him

Here is the chap in question..fluff monster !!

Guarding his pink castle

He's just shedding, Chris. Quite normal for this time of the year.
Get a pet mitt or a good brush.
You want to see the hair Jetski is dropping around the house.

He is an awesome cat.

When our cats have been where the shouldn't I use a lint roller. For the beds and sofas when we forget to shut the door.

I rolled it over the lad the other day and he seemed to like it - at least he didn't bolt off so I assume he did. Took loads off and possibly a few that weren't ready

Its the weather. It got could her a few days ago and they weren't too bad, now its muggy they are molting horribly.

Get an old hair brush and use that on him - it should pick up the loose fur. Some cats actually like the attention; on others you may need assistance.

In the latter case I can recommend the use of a motorbike jacket and, optionally, gloves and helmet...

yepa s said above, just the hto weather, even our kitten is sheding some and hes 5 months old

best way is a brush, we got a special wire one for our old cat, sounds a bit harsh but it is a special cat brush, worked wonders on him.

one of these

he loved it but did eventualy have enough each time and would just walk off

Have to give Bob T credit for that. He named him a 'cut and shut' cat a while back and to look at him , you would think so

Got a bumper set of rollers for when the fur monster comes anywhere near us....

The little bugger actually goes upstairs and although there is a huge bed for him to sleep on, he waits until we leave a top or a pair of jeans on the bed, then promptly lies on top of them

I am sure he does it out of spite

Cheers Andy, he does not like being combed and would rather fight me. Easiest way we found is to lift him up high with one hand and comb him with the other hand. Bit of combing for him and a bit of exercise for me

He is a good looking fellow. We have got a bathroom brush with a long handle, meant for washing your own back I imagine. Fearless Freddie really likes a good grooming, he oftens asks for that. We have also got a wire cat brush which will get the moulting hair out, maybe you could tape a longer handle on it! You never know, he might grow to like it! Our old dog used to like being sorted with the vacuum cleaner, but thats a bit much for a cat!

Is moggie eating grass? Don't they do that to chuck up hair ***** in their throat after cleaning themselves?

Nice cat btw.
