Default MOT Expiry Date

Hi,

my expiry date on my MOT is 01 July 2010. Does that mean I can still obtain tax with the certificate? ie. is the MOT certificate valid during tomorrow or does it actually expire tonight midnight?

thanks

You might get away with it but you will be lucky if you do.

thanks for the comments and help guys

To confirm: I went to my local PO and I blagged the guy that I'd checked with DVLA about the MOT validity and he said it didn't matter as it's computerised now anyway.

He then proceeded to check and all was fine so I presume that you should also be able to do it online?

In summary, the MOT certificate expires at midnight after the day on the expiry so mine will expire tonight midnight

hope this helps anybody else in the same predicament!

You need 30+ days to tax it online.

Edit:

oops...

Please note, to complete a relicensing transaction the MOT will need to be valid on the first day the new disc comes into force
