Any Tesco mobile pay monthly customers on here?
I'm going to get myself the iphone and Tesco are offering a much better deal than my current provider O2.
Tesco - Phone for £229, 12 Month contract, 750 mins, unlimited texts, 1GB data = £35 pcm
O2 - Phone for £189, 18 month contract, 300 mins, unlimited texts, 500MB data = £35 pcm
I've been with O2 for a long time but thats no reason to stay with them.
What are tesco mobile like?
How are they on the upgrade side of things? With a 12 month contract do I get an option to upgrade after? A free phone etc?
Or should I threaten O2 with leaving and see if they will improve their deal?

Well its swings and roundabouts, for £40 per month on O2 on an 18 month contract, you double your minutes and it works out cheaper as you pay more for your phone, its the little extra's you have to watch out for, do tesco give you voicemail standard or do you have to pay for it??
Its a close call, but dont try threatening O2, they have sold plenty of Iphone 4's not to be too fussed about one person, so you wont get any discount on it.
If you want extra data, they do charge something like £5 for it, but look into it more, find all the things you get with both, and what you dont get.

I had a 3 USB internet dongle and the 3G reception was shocking despite the coverage given on the website...............Took it back to the shop and the guy just nodded when I mentioned the poor reception and he gave me my money back without any hassle.
Mind you this is around Cumbria LOL

i have a Three 3G dongle and somedays it flys other days it shows loads of signal but is slower than dial up. i wouldnt bother with a iPhone on their network half the features rely on a high speed network and they are not reliable for that.
I live in a town of 100,000 people so should have good reception.
