Geometrical excercise
Heads slightly fuzzy this morning.....
Iv had an internal sleeve made up for a mast that came down ( in half ) a couple of years ago . The bottom half has a bow , about 7-8 mm ? but the top half seems to be true ( apart from the last 2 feet at the top , slightly) .
how far out from vertical is the top middle in relation to the bottom middle . Its 32' long total

Its off my boat ( 26 ') . yes the lower half has the bow in it ( sideways) the top half has no bow , well except for the last 2 foot , but quite minimal.
It came down striking a buildings gutter just aboiut half way up the mast
cant work out why its jus the lower half bowed - probably something to do with the shrouds ( wires) holding it up giving way incrementally

I have a fair bit of experience with masts as a radio ham. If they are guyed at the top only, it is very easy for the wind's effects to produce a bow lower down the mast. Maybe the mid guys if you have them were a bit slack.
