Parking @ Heathrow?
Anyone know a good site for comparing prices of the numerous parking options at heathrow?
I am off to Oz on 17th April till 8th May, cheapest I've found is £95 with purpleparking.com as they do free parking after 16 days, but a comparison site would be handy?
Or anyone who knows an operator cheaper would be handy too ;-)
TIA,
Alex

I recently used Parking Express, booked it though the following site http://www.aaparking.co.uk/.
You get a discount if you're an AA member.

Try the British Airports Authority website at http://www.baa.co.uk/ and select the book car parking option. They give you a choice of Parking Express, Pink Elephant and maybe others. Personally I prefer to go for the car park closest to the terminal I'm using. A few years ago I came back from California and to save a few bob, I used one of the out of the way car parks. The 20 minute wait for a bus followed by another 25 minutes driving round the airport was a nightmare after the long flight... I just wanted to get home asap...

Here's a scam I heard of, no truth in it I'm sure but makes a good story anyway
Bloke going out of the country for a couple of months needs secure parking for flash car while he's away. Goes to a bank near the airport and asks for a loan of £500. When asked what sort of security he can put up against the loan he produces his car keys and proof of ownership of the car. They hold his car as security in their secure carpark. On return to the country he pays off the loan in full an all it's cost him is a taxi ride or two and the interest on £500 for a couple of months
