Question

Right I have a rave to get to on the 12th. I also have a scar to heal as quick as I can. Anyone got any ways of healing double quick?
I am eating mammoth amounts of steak for the protein and it seems to be helping. Anyone else got any ideas on how to speed up the healing process??
cheers in advance,
astraboy

I completely shredded one of my feet and severed tendons too. I had acupuncture on it and it helped a lot, not just for scar repair, but in general. I was 11 back then though, so the memory might be a little clouded....

Cheers,

Nick

TAKE A LONG REST...after an op, don't go pushing it too soon or it will slow down the healing process, the tissue needs time to knit back together. And let air get to the scar as it will heal quicker if it can breath.

I had my done many years ago now, never had any problems since.

Good Luck

BOB

edit for spelling

Rest now, should be reasonably OK by the 12th (as long as you dont over do it on the night!!! be sensible yeah right! ), may be you should have a short practice 'run' before the 12th just so that you know how much activity you can handle and how you feel the day after etc? Build up to it gradually.

Just seen a posting that you've had an op.

If your scar is very recent, probably not much you can do to help it. Also, don't apply aloe vera to a recent scar. It will hurt. And interfere with the healing.

Vitamin C and zinc supplements may help.

Regards,

Just make sure you're eating enough protein. 200g / day is about as much as the body can make use of

All good chemists have special patches that you leave on for 7 days "dry healing", though they also contain something that reduces scar tissue. this apparently slows the repair job of the body so that the scar becomes a better knit.

Chec them out (Boots) had a great stock, usually under the plaster section. I used them & rather than 4-6 months to heal took under 3 weeks!!!!!!!

Hospitals are now using them regularly as they are so good, can't remember what they are called though..........(DOH!!)

If you want to help get rid of scar tissue marks then ask your doctor for Intrasite Gel. I had some after my op 5 weeks ago and the scars almost dont show.

A blow job works wonders, three times a day but make sure you floss afterwards.

And avoid raves at all costs.

More to the point, are there still Raves going on ?, I know Im 31 and have kids and everything but I thought they finished in about 95' ?

Cool

Howdy. Hope you're scars healing well.
Plenty of vitamin suppliments, a healthy diet and plently of rest with regular stretching through the day and some gentle exersize to keep the muscles warm and flexible.

...then on the 12th, do 5 pills, a pint of vodka (3 shots of Absinth optional) then if you tear something then at least you won't feel it

Callum

Take it easy bud. Don't go pushing it too hard. There will be plenty of mad raves in the future. Surely this one on the 12th isn't the most important one you will ever have to go to

Scars alsways heal better when wet. Keep it as moist as you can and you should be sorted mate. What rave you off to on the 12th then?. Im off to slammin' Vinyl on the 6th in Milton Keynes. Should be a hell of a night.

Thumbs up

heh, I knew this would get silly eventually, So I'll say cheers for the replies I have had. I'm taking Vitamin C and Zinc supliment and I can walk without limping now
With regards to the raves, No I'm afraid I wont ba able to go to Slammin', mores the pity. I'm going to Future Dance @ Bagleys on the 12th. I will be taking it easy but I just have to be there cos Future dance raves are the best hardcore raves there are. PERIOD! (smirk - he said period...)
And lastly, yes raves are very much alive. true hardcore ravers are still in the area too.

Just out of curiousity, how did you get on with the Kalms before the operation, did they help you relax and get some sleep?

You want to buy some Cica Care old boy! Available from your pharmacist and also on Prescription.
It is a silicon gel sheeting which helps scars to fade and also flattens them. Thought to work via light pressure and occlusion! Mail me and I can send you some details.
