Always amazes me the air races, as it looks great but always loks like an accident waiting to happen, they must think about it as like air shows there are loads of regulations so its perhaps perception rather than actual risk but it is a plane doing aerobatic manuevers competetively watched at fairly close quarters by large crowds.

The height at which he was flying "normally" is no problem of course as long as you pay attention!
It looks as though he had a high speed stall during that turn due to pulling very high G in order to line up for the next obstacle. The aircraft was in the initial stages of a flick roll towards the inverted. He recovered by relaxing the pull and was very lucky to eventually get away with it. a real frightener.
