Default Distance Learning - Open University

I'm getting quite bored at work, and expressed this to my manager....and my company has offered to pay for my to do a HNC/HND, but it has to be Distance Learning due to us only having enough staff to cover the shift. I would be doing all the assignments while at work, so I will be getting paid while doing it which I don't mind

Has anyone done any, and how did you go about it?

I want the course to be properly accredited, as I have my EngTech status at the moment and am working to get IEng, and not all courses are recognised by the Engineering Council UK.

This website offers them (REALLY Crap website) http://www.logis-tech.co.uk/openlearnset.htm , and it is in conjunction with Teesside University. The guy offering it would just be my assessor etc. I've found comments of the above website on the net, and people seem happy with it.

I'd ideally like to do a HND as it is higher than a HNC, but most of the Distance Learning seems to be HNC for some reason. I would do it in Electrical Engineering as well.

Any advice from anyone please?
