Default 850w Generator, Just brought one

Just brought a small generator for camping, anyone use them on here.

Its got a Uk 3 pin plug outlet but can I put a multi plug in it to power a couple of bits?

Depends what the bits are exactly and how much load they require. It should tell in the instructions and/on on the gen you how many amps you can draw.

from (a distant) memory you divide the wattage by the voltage in your case 850w divided by 230/240v equals 3.5amps - i may be totally wrong but this rings a bell and i am still alive

Remember too that an 850w generator will only be able to run a 400w-500w device, because itll need double the current when it starts. Of course, if youre using 6w energy saving light bulbs (for example - as opposed to trying to fire up an 800 watt device), started one at a time, then you can go up to full wattage.
