Well thank truck for that. If it were a book (?), I would have read the the first and last two pages and would not have "suffered" the "in between" BS (Which I didn't as it is crap US tv).

I thought it would be on Wednesday like normal? And apparently on Wednesday also they are showing a 2 hour re-cap of all of the series.
I have invested 6 years of my life into this, it better not be a stupid ending. But you just know it will be
"And they all woke up and it was all a dream"
or
Jack Shepherd woke up on a street corner, gasped for air and said "damn that crack was intense"

I hope they'll be able to come up with a really surprising ending but it must be pretty damn diffcult. I don't think it'll all be a dream. That's been done to death

If it turns out to be a dream or some other cop-out, I will put my foot through the screen.
Its odd, I hardly watch telly at all, and never watch any other series, but Lost has me hooked somehow.
I cant help but feel its going to be a disappointment though.

gave up on it ages ago, was really interested in it at the start, but too much filler, have been watching the last three series for the sake of watching it, just wanting to find out some answers
hope the last one will answer some things, this show actually baffles me!!!

Jack replaces Jacob and defeats mib/flocke/smokey and upon doing so everyone bar Jack snaps back to 815 and they land and it's like the alt-reality except they all know each other and remember what happens and it's all happy-happy.
Oh and Juliet is Jack's ex-wife.

Ahh i think you've hit the nail on the head with that one!
I bet they do not explain what the 'light' is. Nor how the island travels through time. Nor why the island has a bizarre magnetism (but then i guess the dharma didn't know either)

SPOILER ALERT!
Basically...
The 815 crash DID happen, they were NOT all killed in the crash, the events on the island did happen up to and including some of them leaving the island and ending up on Penny's boat, and then those returning to the island.
The alt reality for season 6 was actually a pre-afterlife/purgatory scenario / fantasy that, I think, Jack mainly created so as to gather all of the 815's together, as the time for all of them on the island was the most important part of their lives. Now, at the end in the church everyone who was there WAS/IS dead, however, there is no concept of time in the alt, and thus some will have lived many many years, others would have died a while back. The idea was that they would all come together and then move on to another place, which is supposedly the true afterlife.
Unless I'm missing something, it didn't really explain what the island was, and why it needed to be protected and what would really have happened if flocke/smokey had got off the island. Jacob also seemed to be a right **** in the end, not wishing for people to be able to leave the island.
I do sense that there could be some kind of continuation of island life though as we know Hurley took over and had Ben as his second, and at the end Hurley said Ben had made a great number 2, indicating they had done this job for a while, and obviously handed things off to someone else.
As to be expected from Lost, more questions raised, but alas no answers. It's said the DVD release will contain additional footage, around 20 mins more I believe, but it's rumoured to be more of the "realization" and meet-up type things.
It all got a little bit too religious for my tastes which spoilt it. Ah well done and dusted now.
Off to watch S2 finale of Fringe, bring on the walter and belly battle!

Thank **** that's over!
If there was ever a show where the writers thought they wouldn't stay on air long enough to have to figure out an ending this is it!
What started as a clever idea turned into an excercise to string out an audience for as long as possible. Should have been cancelled after the second series.

Michael is stuck on the island as a whisper, probably due to his murders on the island.
Walt would have made his own life off the island and so the people who meant the most/had the most impact on him throughout his would be completely different people (he also hit puberty and was wrote out)
The woman that killed Jacob and MiBs mother, had most probably been just the same as the losties we have been watching, but in a different era, aka crashed on the island some how. Due to all the Egyptian symbolism we have seen throughout the show, it is fair to say that the island has been there thousands of years and continues to be, due to Hurley saying to Ben he was a great number 2, implying someone has taking over their place, they could have been there for hundreds of years, the alt timeline doesn't have time like we know it.
