Do these cash backs actually materialise or are these incentives and other cash offers and gifts just there to tempt new customers.
I'm looking at a new contract but put off by these redemption offers etc.

my las two contracts have been like this - but you have to chase them hard for the redemptions ( theyll do what they can to get out of them )

I've heard Carphone warehouse is good for this, never used them though

Only cash backm incentive I would take (and have done) is the automatic cash back direct into your account. It's normally less cash than the ones where you have to send bills in at certain times. But at least this way I can't forget!


When searching for phone deals its the only incentive deal I would consider!

I thought that would be the case. As long as you can actually claim the cash back it's ok.
The mobile co are probably relying on the fact that not everyone will claim the cash back on time.

Yes they do (I'm on one with mobiles.co.uk) but you do have to remember to send bills at the right time and it takes awhile before you get the cheque.

I did this morning, needed a phone for work on top of my blackberry which is personal, got a cheap samsung thing on £15 a month as it's mainly for incoming calls and now got a new xbox 360 under my tv, bonus as the mrs wouldn't let me buy one!
