If you are going to push your luck landing in fog, you have to make very sure that you don't descend below the glidepath. Very dangerous thing to attempt of course and should only be a last ditch action. I only ever was forced to do it once.

Or at least his family and the families of the passengers did!
It seems like a foolish mix of senior people to put in one old plane! Most large companies won't let any more than a couple of their top people fly in the same plane for this very reason.

Happens a lot though, we (Brits) do this quite a bit with military ops. Its hit us hard on more than one occasion, although I only know of 2 that were well published (helicopeter crash on Op Corporate and another helicopter crash in Scotland).
Anyways.... looks like fog and a driver who probably did not know the local area to this paticular field.
I have a few friends from Poland and seems they are all rather upset (as you would be).
