Default Tories get it right again!

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle7083970.ece

The Tory proposal to stop the planned NI rate has been openly supported by over 20 of the countries big company bosses inc M and S, Sainsburys, Glaxo and the list goes on. Together they employ millions and have their finger on the pulse of the UK economy.

This just goes to show all the real ideas and energy are coming from the conservatives The best Labour can do is wheel out a very tanned and rich Tony Blair

Don't be taken in by Labour lies, they will bankrupt this country even further

So this has nothing to do with the bosses of 20 big companies not wanting to pay extra tax then?

Just an alternative view, Flightman has no desire to pay extra NI

They probably know what they're talking about as, between them, they employee 500,000 people Not as much as our profligate government, granted, but at least they understand how to drive efficiencies, are accountable for their cost bases and know how to make savings without impacting on service.

I don't think its about them not wanting to pay PERSONAL tax, as this is not where the NI uplift was directed. They see it as bad for business and bad for UK plc. Labour may have forgotten that the UK needs an economy that functions on the private not public sector.

Its obvious you've lost the argument Pete when the best you can do is accuse the 20 highest profile business leaders in the country of engaging in some school dorm gay orgies with Tory MPs

Here is one example of clear blue water between a forward thinking Conservative party and a has been and destructive Labour party. This is why only the Conservatives can take this country forward.

This support from such high profile players also debunks the myth that Vince Cable is some kind of financial guru, his analysis is good but his ideas to take the economy forward would kill UK plc.

Roll on May 6th!

Pete, Pete, Pete..........if every business man, bin man, McD's worker and doctor all got together to say 'not increasing NI contributions is right' would you accuse every single one of them of being a toff or is it only high-flyers?

are you saying that executive pay matches company perfomance

as the analysis I read points to the fact that exectutive pay bares little relation to company performance

I would tax the under working executives and bankers until the pips squeaked ...... they are the scum of the earth - to actually listen to them bleet about a 1% NI Tax is pathetic.

And, tomorrow, Labour will have a letter from 50 Top Table Players saying that the rise is essential ...... at the end of the day Labour are in for another 5 years.

Pete, what about 'normal' working folk?
Those of us that have started off with **** all, worked our ***** off and eventually started to earn good money?
Why should we be taxed to the ****ing hilt all the time?

You say people are bleating about only a 1% increase, but these increases just seem to be relentless, and one way or another, it's people like me (and others on here) that always get the full brunt of the 'socialist/progressive/Marxist' principles.

Some of us could easily have scrounged of the state all our lives but decided to actually pay for ourselves. Why should the working populous be MADE to pay for your Guardianista brethren.

I'm not a violent person by nature, but I honestly would be grateful for any terrorist organisation to kill every member of our ****ed up government. If only they were on an expenses paid trip to Moscow.

I didn't mention executive pay. What has that got to do with my post?

Are you suggesting that the heads of those businesses are all less qualified to talk about business than our (dishonest) prime minister?

Well I think the bell has tolled for Labour. This is the defining moment in the election that we will all look back to as the moment the Conservatives won.

What was Labour's reply to the business leaders? It said they had been duped by the Conservatives! Only people as out of touch and arrogant as Brown, Mandleson and Darling would accuse the men and women running UK's biggest chain stores, airlines, airports, insurers etc of being stupid enough to be duped by anybody.

Now the CBI, Chambers of commerce, small business federation etc have all joined in to support the Conservative proposal.

Darling, Brown and Cable all rattle on amount 'economic credibility', well its obvious who has it, and its not them!

I want to see Brown cry like the biatch he is when he is thrown out of number 10 with his moral compass shoved up his gary glitter

I assumed by your post regarding the heads of these companies you were referring to executives and by implication their pay

apologies if I misunderstood your post

Less than 12 hours to go Pete, and despite having a good search around the BBC News web-site i can't see any reference to any "Top Table Players" supporting Liebour?

There are another 14 top executives supporting the Tories though

I hope that you have ordered a bulk load of humble for the pie that you will be cooking tonight, and eating in the early hours of the morning

Spot on there, this is the same pigs who didn't want to bring in the minimum wage. Big Dave just playing into Labours hands yet again, does this bloke ever engage his brain before spewing out more tosh.

I think he has very much engaged his brain which may not be true of your good self

Labour needs to be seen as the friend (though not in the pocket of) of big business otherwise they are unelectable. This is the turn around in image that Blair and Brown managed when they started 'new' labia.

If they come out against the biggest companies in the UK, along with their huge funding from Unite, it will set them back years as being anti aspirational, hard left etc.
So, not only is the Tory policy good for the UK, its a great political coup as Labour is in a corner. Suprised you couldn't see that....

LOL! From someone who is a looking to avoid NL's 50% tax and reduce his own tax burden with salary sacrifice and/or by going offshore.
