Which hand.....

Which hand.....
.... do you use to hold your knife and fork?
Obviously this is not a life or death question, but I'm curious to know which way around most people hold them.
It may be worth saying if you are right or left handed when answering, as I'd imagine that could have a bearing.
Just came up in conversation, and it would possibly settle an arguement.

I'm right-handed (for writing) and hold my fork in my left hand and the knife in the right.
Though I use my right-hand if only a fork is required. Or right hand for chop-sticks or a spoon etc only.

I'm totally cack handed, right handed - fork in right, knife in left.
As far as I remember it's always been that way. Can't seem to use them properly in the correct fashion

+99 (ish) .... I would say that 99 of RH people do this.
Though, as Pimmo says, you can adapt easily as a kid. For example, I'm essentially right handed but when playing sport that requires a two handed grip, such as cricket or golf, I'm left handed. Single handed grip, such as squash or tennis, I'm normal again .....
We used to play cricket beside a large tree. Bat right handed and welly it and you'd whack the tree on the follow through. So I started to bat left handed to avoid the pain and it's stuck .... Funny things kids .....

I'm right handed. Hold fork in right hand and knife in left. Can't work it the other way. But I use compasses and marking dividers with my left hand. I'm left footed. I can only focus out of one eye at a time. The left eye is long sighted, the right is short sighted.
Yes, I'm fcuked up but a lovely person to know.

Anyway, back on topic. Does anyone hold their fork 'dagger' style? Seen it a few times where the meal is cut into small chunks then the knife is ditched and the fork swapped to the right hand.

I'm the same as Scoobywon't.
How do you hold the Knife & Fork?

Parents in law hold theirs like pens, always thought it looked strange...

Left handed, fork in left hand, **** in right. When I play Tennis (extremely rarely) I use both hands and don't ever use backhand.
My son is ambidextrous and when he writes he'll start with his left hand and change to his right halfway across the page.
