What product has given you best service?
What single purchased product in your possession has impressed you over the years with its quality and reliability?
My contender is our sofa and matching armchair, which was bought from the London outlet of Delcor furniture, Newcastle.
Not cheap by some standards, but both pieces still look like new 13 years, 1 marriage and 2 children later.
I still haven't seen any other sofa that I would wish to replace it with.
So it's a Big Thumbs Up for the Geordie Craftsmen at Delcor furniture from me.

My original BMW Mini Cooper. It has never given a moment's problem, It is 9 years pld and still looks many years younger. Cheap to run, sticks to the road wet or dry, and very nice to drive.

I have a few.
A really basic no frills rice cooker made by National, over 15 years of regular service.
A Beko fridge freezer, over 11 years of continuous use.
A 15" Sony Trinitron "portable" TV, over 15 years of use
My Victorinox Swiss Army Champ pen knife over 22 years of use
My Seiko Actura Kinetic watch, over 11 years of continuous service, (but has just recently died!)
My Renault Clio Trophy, 100% reliability, has not missed a beat or had anything fall off in the 2 years I've owned it, thats gotta be a record for Renault?
Oh and my wife's '98 Nissan Micra Shape 1.0. 60k miles brought from new, has to be the most reliable cheapest to run car ever. The only thing that's changed are the spark plugs, brake pads, fluids (oil, coolant, screenwash, etc). Paint has faded slightly (never been garaged). Genuinely impressed with the little car and still going strong.

My Oakley sunglasses. They are about 10 years old and still look great and only one or two marks on the lens which isn't bad for 10 years use. Also the best service provided by Oakley - my US bought Ski sunglasses were damaged and Oakley asked me to return them and have any pair from the range at the time for half price.
Fantastic IMO.
Another contender would be our MK3 Golf Driver. Its been in the family about 11 years and was bought with a sprightly 40K on the clock. Its now done 132K and apart from the odd little snag has been excellent. Its sat in our garage at the moment because I've got a Jeep now and its really hard to let it go.

Swiss Army knife - had it for years and it is excellent and less prone to corrosion that my Leatherman.
My Barbour jacket which I have had for thirty years - still waterproof and just about worn in now.
Dishwasher - she is done brilliantly for seventeen years, apart from needing a good servicing every now and then.
Macbook Pro - done very well for the last four years - apart from having to replace a slightly noisy fan.

A pair of Duresta Maxima sofas. Had them for over fifteen years. The only problem was that the dog managed to wear a hole in one of them (he likes to lie on the back looking out of the window and barking at passers-by) so I had them re-upholstered last year and they are now as good as new.

I have Naim Credos and luckily left the covers off for the first 10 years I had them so they are still in excellent condition.
You can make your own replacement covers pretty easily if you want to.
Ask on http://www.pinkfishmedia.net forums - loads of Linn help there. You may find someone to make some for you even.

Apple Powerbook - 11 years and still pretty capable.
Cyrus II amp - 20 years and sounds as good if not better than modern and expensive equivalents.
Mission 764i speakers - See above.
A pair of Joe Bloggs jeans - Bought in 1989 for £7.50, they retired a few months ago. No rips, tears or holes, just old-looking and not fitting as well. And before you start, they became too big for me, not me too big for them !
