Question

A little while ago someone put up a link for a who is site, can anyone let me know what it was?

I've just had this 172.145.2.151 address come up 14 times on my firewall and would like to know who it is....

Thanks

Nath

Thanks m8,

Is there any way of finding out who it is? In the end I had to log off as there was almost 52 attempts.....Its a good job I had a firewall me thinks.

Not really as it probably a dialup pool for AOL so it could be anyone. Only people who would know are AOL Tech Support so youd have to speak to their Abuse team but I doubt they would do much for something of this scale and would just point to the fact that your firewall is doing its job.

You dont say what exactly that IP is trying to do i.e what port its trying to connect on? If they are all different and in quick succession it would more than likely be a port scan attempt.

You'll have to forgive me as I'm a little wet behind the ears when ot comes to these kind of things, its also a Zone Alarm if that makes any difference?

It was attemting different ports by the way and went up to 50+ times before I decided to pull the plug.
