Default DVLA Local Offices

I went in today to change the index number of my car - vanity I know, but it was cheap.

There were loads of people in and I was wondering what on earth they were doing. There were a couple of other reg swaps but what on earth would so many people be doing with the DVLA?

And, no, very few were getting tax discs.

Theyll be dealers representatives for the most part. Did you notice that the staff were familiar with them?

Not really - it was more like the dole office - lots of people with family members. Not obviously a lot of dealers in.

Mind you they probably wouldn't be stupid enough to go in on a Monday morning on the 1st day of the month!

1st of the month (and a monday) = perfect storm

only loons go then, and real geniuses sit for 20 mins before realising they have to get a ticket

for a really long wait it is best to go about 9 to 9.30am

To be fair it was all done in around 20 minutes - the longest bit was waiting to get the ticket. It was five minutes after that.

This one is GT03 and my wife's initials which are also almost the same as mine (I can't have an 'i').

Those DVLA offices are always full. I have always had to wait for quite a long time to get served.
