i caught the tailend of an article on telly,it was saying that police sell off all sorts of stuff on internet auctions.Does anybody have any experience of these,are there bargains to be had ?

Seen loads of stuff on ebay being sold by Leicstershire police. Assume it to be unclaimed, recovered proceeds of crime????????

I did a bit of looking into this and it appears that all the "Good Stuff" gets "assigned" way before the auction house opens its doors.

I used to work in the Police, on various IT systems. They use Bumble Bee to flog off old equipment or items released from crimes, but give it a quick auction time if one of the guys there wants it.
