You'd be suprised the amount of right-wing extremists the CT Police are keeping their eye on, there's many more than the press would have you believe. This particular bloke had enough ordnance to do some serious damage, certainly more than any supposed Al Qaeda suspect that's been lifted in the past couple of years anyway. There is, if its the story that I think (I havent opened the link). Ex-soldier who lives with his mother, with an obsession for firearms and explosives? Even the police said that he didnt intend to actually do anything with the contraband material and weapons that he had. Some he had hoarded and some he had manufactured himself.

His membership of the BNP was brief and not deemed to be of relevance due to the point made above. When even the prosecution state that they dont believe that you intend to actually use the weapons, then youre sentenced for the possession alone...

He wasnt right, but thats a world away from being 'wrong'; as you suggest.

I watched this on BBC news the day he got sentenced.

 

Like all extremists this chap was mentally disturbed. I personally don't feel he or this story was reported in a skewed manner. He was caught and banged up job done. Let's hope there aren't too many more of his ilk from any background.

Talk of the BNP here isnt relevant, is it? This man was a mentalist who lived with his mother and hoarded explosives and weapons. He didnt intend to cut a swathe through Manningham Lane (much to the disappointment of the Bradford Development & Planning Committee!) and there was no stated connection between the contraband materia/items and his brief membership of the BNP.

Assuming that the facts Im aware of are indeed correct then I think that this is a pointless rant about a none-event.

 

If Im wrong; then I believe that he had enough explosive to do millions of pounds worth of improvements to Bradford!
