give me an example of a time in your life or any one you know when it was used in a not hatefull way
I know that, to be a Paki you need to come from Pakistan
, and it's not me who's the dumbass at least I know the basics of using punctuation and a little bit of grammar and not "txt Spk"
if you dont like txt spk which some of you elders dont, why would you want to shorten words such as pakistani in to paki??

If I'm guilty of anything, it's being lazy, not racist. Just in the same way as saying I'm going to the chippy, instead of chip shop (or any other longer name for it). It's laziness/ shortening of a word for many people. Of course in some cases it is used with malice, and with ignorance (if you don't know where someone is from), but I think we all need to realise not everything is meant or said in that way all of the time.
I'll give you an example. Beside me, there is a local off licence that I go to which is owned by Pakistanis. Now while I wouldn't refer to them to their face as Pakis (not that sure they'd be insulted anyway, as I get on with them) when in the house if I was nipping up there, I'd say 'I'm just nipping to the pakis'. Just the same as if I was going up to the Chinese take away shop, I'd say going to the chinkies.

"Fancy a Chinky?" "Fancy a Chinese?"
So with that in mind, why would one choose to use the more offensive word?
Fair enough, it's your home and you can say whatever you like, but would like your thoughts on this one.

Banny no offence intended but can you explain something to me please, a person from Scotland is called a Scot (short for Scotland obviously) a Person from Sweden is called a Swede (short for Sweden obviously) A person from Pakistan being called a Paki (short for Pakistan obviously) and its claimed to be deragotary, It's something I've never worked out before, why is this seemingly insulting as it's only the shortening of a name?
The word Paki is often used to insult anyone of Asian origin regardless of whether they are from Pakistan or not.
You just asked for an example of when the term could be used without offence intended and I gave one.
To lloydee, I'm not sure why I use that term for chinese, maybe I just picked up on others referring to it that way, or it rolls off the tongue easier for some reason, but again, it's not a term I use in an offensive manner.

i was asking for an example of a time when you would use the word Paki in front of an asian person. the fact that you use it at home arou nd your family doesnt prove anything same with the use of Chinky

If I was stood with my black mates (and don't forget I'm a darkie myself
) and saw an Asian, specifically a drugged up Pakistani mug an old lady (of any race) I would say.... "Look at that ******* drugged up Paki!" before me and my brothers from other mothers.... unleashed some whoopass on him.
That seems reasonable to me.
