What exactly was your issue? Do you dislike the programme as a whole or was it because this one focused on a disabled person?
If it's the programme as a whole, why were you watching it?
As I understand it (from what I've seen), this show centres around women who for one reason or another feel undesirable/under confident. He gives out tips to make them feel better and boost their self esteem. For many people viewing, it will give them tips and make them feel better too. Can't see too much wrong with that.
Of course we can say 'surely there are better programmes to be made' but that could apply to alot of what's on TV, depending upon personal opinion.

Lisa, you misunderstood my post a bit i fear....
having only council TV, i just feel there could be a more worthwhile programme on, thats all!!!
i remember when we only had 3 channels and all 3 showed brilliant TV....
i just remembered why my telly stays off most week nights, while i glean knowledge from the WWW
however flicking between Piers Morgan and Gordon Ramsay made up for it.... both very well written and educating/entertaining tv progs!!

Uncomfortably voyeuristic is the vibe I think Dazza is getting at. A thin line between a programme for the good of the subject rather than exploitation by an audience.
There's some funny telly on, but some (not necessarily this) is often a step too far in terms of who exactly is benefiting from it's creation/broadcast.

If you don't like it, the don't watch it. Its that simple, my parents only have 'council tv' as you put it, but they don't feel the need to groan about how crap the tv is.
If you set out to watch the program thinking it would be something else and in return it wasn't as expected, then turn over, turn off.... maybe read a book, or spend more time doing your hobbies?
It's not exactly breaking new that someone thought that tv programs are rubbish.
You will have to elaborate on what exactly it is that didn't sit right with you.
I didn't watch it, neither do I agree with it, it seems to make more of a margin between these woman and is setting them aside because of their disability.
Did anyone watch the program where he looked for his 'Miss Naked Beauty'?
They were all able bodied from what I recall but correct me if I am wrong.
Last nights program 'How to look good with a difference' was more excluding this woman from the traditional 'how to look good' programs, and at the end of the day, there isn't a need for a separate program, this lady and anyone else should take part in the usual program.
