Thumbs up Anyone seen my gloves? (gratuitous quad bike shots incl.)

Just took the quad out for some fun on the snow and cannot find the bugg*rs.

Get your wife or your mum to sew them to the sleeves of your anorak! It was all the rage in 1982.

my local lanes are like a skating rink with a load of slushpuppy across the top, very thick in places and really had to fight with the thing to get it up my steep hill on the way home last night....and this morning too with the back end all over the shop on closed throttle on the way down it

big resistance from the slush puppy chunks on the front wheels + climbing a steep hill with a hard base of ice = wheels spinning to maintain a constant speed and going from one lock to the other constantly

bloody hard work I tell thee

I really hope it is better for the journey home at lunchtime

-----------------------------

some pictures taken on the way home today

this is a LOT better than it was, I didn't stop on the steep hill as it is still like a skating rink and was lucky to get up it at all, it is the first time in 4 weeks now that my thermometer in the garden has read above 0

I'd like a go on that too! We used to have great fun on the snowmobile skidoos in Canada. Had some great races to settle who bought the first round!

Well come up to Northampton some time and you are welcome too Les
I would really love a go on a snowmobile, have you seen the tuned-up, stripped down race snowmobiles, they are beasts!

Thats a great offer Paul, thanks for that.

No the ones we were allowed to use were strictly standard, they were RAF property. Still great fun though. I would like to see one of those stripped out ones, and have a go on it too!
