Yes, slow as a funeral cortege driving through a puddle of treacle, in first gear, pulling a lead lined grand piano, with Monserrat Caballe sat on the lid, wearing a deep sea divers suit.

Perhaps those with issues should state which ISP they are using, might shed some light on the problem.Ill start with AOL (the shame!)

Dont think this is solely down to individual choice of isp. There is a fiere amount of advertising crap going on with every page that gets loaded.

I have found that editing my hosts file to redirect the ad sites to 127.0.0.1 has helped speed things up considerably. locate your hosts file and add the following lines - windows users should be in the following folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

linux / ubuntu users should be in /etc

add the following lines and save the file

127.0.0.1 *.ibsrv.net
127.0.0.1 *.doubleclick.net
127.0.0.1 *.googleads.com
127.0.0.1 *.backbeatmedia.com
127.0.0.1 *.yeildmanager.com
127.0.0.1 *.quantserve.com
127.0.0.1 *.contextweb.com
127.0.0.1 *.intellitext.com

Please report back if this makes a difference on your connection.

So I'm not the only one?
I've been getting this for TWO MONTHS

IB keep saying they have done this and that, but can't replicate the problem, so they can't fix it.

TBH, they need to send someone over here to SEE what's been going on.

I have invited Adrian to stay here, and offered food and drink, but have had no response.

Anyone having probs, please post on the other thread in General: the more of us who do, the more likely IB might do something about it.
