Default Hotels in Manchester

Guys,

I'm sure one of my Scoobynet fellow members will be able to recommend something for me.

Middle of the road price wise and either 3 or 4 star.

2 nights - 2nd & 3rd of April
Last time I was in Manchester I stayed at the Abode Hotel.
It wasn't great.

Thanks,
Shaun

Malmaison is great but a tad expensive. Try looking on there website in the special deals section they sometimes have great offers.

Was looking at the same myself today, seeing Peter Kay on the 8th May.

Any hotels with parking that isn't too overpriced (apologies for the slight thread hi-jack )?

Thought about getting the train up until I looked into how much it would cost Why would anyone use public transport unless you can't drive

I struggled to find a hotel with on-site parking, even the quite expensive places wanted extra and then it was off-site.
If you don't mind not being in the city centre then there are a couple of Holiday Inns (free parking) not too far away.

Your better off staying outside the centre and just get a cheap train into the centre when your going to your "event"..

Some superb B+B's about for £50 a night....

Palace is a nice place, might be a tad noisy (traffic etc) depending on room
but it is city center
i'd stay again

stayed in a cheapie travellodge, not bad, not as smart but close to Deansgate

I wouldnt stay outside Manchester if you want to be in the center
Manchester is a top place so stay in town

A couple of people have mentioned laterooms, you can get 5% cashback if you click through Quidco website, Ive got hundreds of pounds back using Quidco over the last 4 years.

I never book travel without going through Quidco first, even Virgin Atlantic give 2% cashback

Sometimes the cashback can offset against choosing a higher grade hotel, especially when its as high as 12%

for Example :

Laterooms.com - 5% cashback
hotels.com - 12% cashback
holidayinn.com - 10% cashback

If you want to sign up either go direct to their site or use my referral link and we split the referral £2.50 between us

Quidco cashback

The Raddison is nice. Hilton is better. The Lowry is tired now TBH.

Those are the only 3 that I have stayed in, but I do live in the city..
What you in Manchesta for?

Any of the Premier Inns are good, recently stayed at the one opposite the GMEX and it was superb. Cheap too.
