Wimmins footwear
I know fashion is important, but there are times and places. Please, WIMMINS, understand that the word 'BOOTS' does not mean all such footwear is appropriate for all occasions.
UGG boots for example may be great for keeping your toes toastie when it's dry, but they are about as waterproof as a string vest. The first person to try and scale Everest in UGGs will come down without them, and probably without their feet, if they make it down at all.
Fashion boots with flat plastic soles, where the 'tread/grip' is nothing more than a scratch in the plastic will not be of any use on snow and ice either. And as for heals, don't be so stoopid !
Trust me, in conditions like we are experiencing at the moment, a good stout pair of hiking boots, perhaps worn with some ruffled socks with skinny jeans tucked in are much sexier than having to watch you slip on your @r$e and break your bloody hip !
These are my weapon of choice....
Goretex lined to keep me dry, Cambrelle lining to keep me warm and dry, wide open cleat sole to give good grip and allow mud/snow to pop loose with each step. And all for HALF the price of UGG's.
If Julia Bradbury can look sexy in hiking boots, so can you all. Well, maybe

As for hiking boots to go down the school..... i'll stick to my Cat's. They do the trick.
It's not exactly a fashion parade on the school run anyway, but i'd look like a right bell end wearing something fit for going up Everest!

I totally agree. I have some Olang Patty boots which are proper snow boots. Saw some bimbo walking on 4 inch heels today... She looked like an idiot!

I wouldn't wear my uggs in the snow, they are practically slippers! Don't even wear them to drive in.

And how will it do the pantomine (Puss in Boots)?

I disagree with the skinny jeans bit. Walked eight miles the other day in my very scuffed and battered hiking boots, it was cold and wet - jeans would have been useless. Thanks for the advice though

I like Redwing boots. Good compromise between looking good with jeans and can take a battering in this weather.
and women should try look sexy at all times. Even if that means slipping sliding and falling all over the place in this weather!

Women do have to try a lot harder is what you meant to say. To them it appears the time taken equals a better job. Not so.

Not sure, you'd have to get one of the WaG types to answer that, like I said I were mine like slippers so I practically drag my feet around with a small human attached to each ankle.

I would like to see men making more effort in the looking sexy department, all men should wear firemans uniforms at all times even when performing brain surgery
