Im probably gonna accept a new job ive been offered. Problem is its 30 miles commute each way and it would take me about 50 mins each way.
Is this unreasonable?

I'm self employed, so travel all over the place. 50 mins each way doesn't seem so bad, if the pay is good

I work about 40 miles away (in West London) so it can take anywhere up to 2.5 hours.
On the plus side, I work at home most of the time.

Seven miles, I make a point of getting in one way or another, some just need one flake of snow and they "work from home" until spring.
I did 32 miles round the M60 from Wilmslow to Rochdale, doable but you need to factor in the costs and time into whether its worth it, but these days a job is a job.

I do a 22 mile each way commute, 225 mile a week.
I can do it in 40 mins when the traffic is light, but can take an hour on a bad day.
I actually miss going to work on the train somedays

I think it's about 4/5 miles each way for me.
Never have an option to work from home.
On the way to work I walk/use public transport, on the way back, I get picked up.

I do between 400 and 700 miles in a day sometimes, one day after another. And yes i'm totally cream crackered at the end of it
My partner drives 140 miles a day commute and sometimes business mileage on top of that too.

I used to have a job where I travelled 320 miles each way, using the (not) very economical Impreza.
I have to admit though, it was only two days per week, on a six month contract.
My longest daily commute on a 5 days per week job, was a round trip of 114 miles per day (for 2 years). My shortest was 9 miles (for 11 years).

I also work 15 feet (max) from my bedroom
without measuring, 15 feet seems good from bed to desk considering I live in a smallish 3 bed house
My official office is a 30 mile or so round trip from here and in Slough so who can honestly say they would go to Slough

If I was doing that kind of mileage I would happily live in Cornwall and that is something I consider daily!

That is false economy.
It will cost you more to run, insure and tax a 2nd car than it will putting a bit more petrol in your current car.
