Tell that to all the dicks with big 4x4's that can't seem to park properly!
Since were on with carparks, why is it that you can park right at the other end of a carpark with no other cars around, but once you get back there is always someone parked next to you???

Stay between the lines then, the amount of numpties I see that have parked like planks making the other space not suitable - not impossible I add as it is funny seeing someone get in to the space and then squeeze out of their car.
I find it's usually the smaller cars that cannot park between those guidance lines.

all this boils dont to other people not respecting mine and others cars how many door dings have you got and have had to pay £100's to get removed and if you go after the person that causes them you will get nothing.. and a good chance of a smack in the teeth for saying something to there face .... parking spaces are never big enough for normal size cars
the only parking i have come across that are big enough are at bluewater

the carpark is private property not a public highway so fine not enforceable in a court of law such as a parking ticket from a traffic warden.(had this happen to me recentely outside halfords in plymouth.spoke to a mate who's a traffic copper.)they will try to get your details from the dvla to send you a threatening letter about court action, bailiffs etc(which i have done as a job as well as being a squaddie)if it turns up then write and ask for photographic proof and you will probably never hear from them again.just be polite in any correspondance and let them know that they would have to get a court order to get you to pay fine by taking you to small claims court for the debt.which is too much hassle for them.i have dealt with firms that just send out the same threatening letters in the hope that it scares a few people into paying.
and i park in the biggest spaces i can find as have had to have both sides of my car sprayed in the last 3 months because of c*cks in 4x4's that dont care when they open their doors.and i have a little boy so i use the parent child spaces.

Have seen a number of nice cars including Scoobies parked with the white line down the middle of the car. Yes I agree that we get p!55£d off by the dents, similar to the previous post about parent and kids spaces my wife is registered disabled so if need be we use the disabled area. Still won't stop the d!(£$ with trollies though.

To be fair to me though, every other car was parked incorrectly due to the covering of snow that the car park had. I just parked in an available space between two cars.

The only thing is that if someone else parks badly to start with it can force others out a bit and then when that first driver moves off the other car's left out of whack, seen it done, then there are the women drivers.

Yeah, and then when spaces become available, parents with kids end up squeezing in normal spots, quite possibly dinging other people's cars, and the cycle continues. I agree people should be careful and respect other people's property, but it happens, and I'd rather they were nowhere near our car, in their dedicated spaces where possible.

Happened to my Dad. The firm is Euro Car parks, well it is in the Rainham Tesco, and they already have photo proof on the letter. Tried to appeal, as it was the drop off point where we have been parking for the last 9 odd years. There was just a small sign to say about this new firm, so missed it.
Is is definately not enforceable? Too late as he paid now.

Tbh i wouldn't park in the parent and child spaces even if i had kids, because all the space between cars encourage is people to take their trollys and i've seen a mum just get her child out the trolly and while fastening the child in not realising it rolling into the car next to her. Plus kids often get to push the trolley back to the car, so park well away from any signs of children being on board. A child on board sign is like a do not park here sign to me

shame the tickets are technically not enforcable.... as nothing boils my blood more than people who park in disabled and/or child & parent parking, cos they are either too lazy to walk a few extra yards to the store, or they seem to think thier car is too precious to park in the 'normal' car park.
If you dont want car park dings, dont bring your car to the car park. Yes they are annoying etc, but life is too short!!
Anyways, rant over... my view, if you cant park properly, or park in the wrong place, you deserve a fine, and a kick in the teeth.

As i said - if no other parks are available then Parent parks it is. Why should i have to wait for a normal park just because i haven't got kids?????? It matters not to me how close they are to the shop, if a parent space is the last space at the shops it wouldn't bother one bit if it was the furthest away
I await my kick in the teeth........

you must have some either very small car parks up north, or very busy.
not sure i have ever rolled into a car park and there has not been a single normal space available.
Not that it matters all that much.......
