Default Richer Sounds

Anyone else use this company?

They really do seem to have the right attitude to customers, very friendly, helpful and pull off some good deals.

Went in there yesterday to buy a hifi seperates deal they had, they didn't have the speakers but did me a preferable set (which were £20 more too) for the same deal price.

Just a heads up to anyone who's not used them and wants any hifi equipment or TV's, always been very helpful to me and my mate (who's used them on and off for many years)

Totally agree!

I have purchased most of my electrical goods from them over the years, and the customer service is always spot on

I recently bought a huge plasma from them (which they webmatched on price) and threw in a Cambridge Audio HDMI lead for nowt (that was on sale for £30!)

Big thumbs up from me
Problem is you could spend soooooooo much money in there, i have to stay away

I didn't think richer sounds would stock Rel ? I have just added a 2nd rel q200 to my setup and I really feel for the neighbours now

I'm thinking of buying my next onkyo amp from them as they seem to have very competetive prices.

Good deals to be had from them that's for sure.

They even refunded my mates train ticket once when he went there!

They are pretty decent considering the prices they manage to achieve.

Bought a Sony S360 blu ray player from the Reading store yesterday as £100 (£80 for no region free dvd) so can keep my ps3 in the office. Unfortunately when I got it home its got a crack in the case and now theyve sold out so have to wait for next delivery although it works fine anyway.

I took their 5yr extended warranty for £9.95 (player was only £100) and if you dont use it you can take the receipt in and get your money back. Cant argue with that.

Took back an amp within the allotted time ( week i think) and gota credit note cos i couldnt decided what i wanted .
Anyway didnt do anything about it for maybe 16 months , and then went back

They were going to give me perhaps a much lesser peice of equipment or nothing ( no refund)

Never again

not saying I wouldn't go bak again... but
a few years ago we went in wanting a DVD recorder so we could record off the free view box, explained what we wanted and came away with a £460 panny.

Took it home, set it up.. more than once, couldn't get it to scan for any channel other than analog.
I knew what the problem was (it wouldn't turn digital, I was a few years a head of myself on technology)
took it back and they said it should do it. I ran through the problem and told them it would record the channel that Freeview was on ie: AV1, but you then had to be watching annolog tv while it did it.
After every thing I said I wanted to do, they didn't fully understand why it didn't do it.

In the end we bought a twin scart FreeView Box with HardDrive for £160.

As the years have moved on DVD recorders have now got built in freeview.. so you can do what I said I wanted todo, the lads at Richersounds (at the time) weren't fully turned in about Digtal Tv

I used to be the deputy manager of the belfast branch, t'was a great wee place to work. Lots of fun and most customers were pretty nice people! I'm actually workin for them again but not on a perminant basis as they needed a little help over crimbo and i needed a job to tide me over until I got another.

How many companies would help you out like that? very few!

Used them in the past and was impressed, although i thought they had went bust about 10 years back for some reason.

FWIW if somebody came back to me after 16months i would have been a bit miffed to say the least!

Interesting, I currently have an REL Q200, but was looking to upgrade it this year, B&W PV1 or maybe the cylinder SVS PC12.
Had not thought to just add another Q200, Steve how was this connected? do you have 2 sub outs or have you parallel wired them?

I have 2 sub outs, but if your amp doesn't support it just use a phono splitter.
