Argument breaks out on Facebook wall
Friends allegedly argued over party invite
Teenager dies from multiple stab wound
A LONDON teenager was stabbed to death, allegedly by his best friend, after the pair argued over a Facebook party invite.
Salum Kombo, 18, was knifed repeatedly and staggered 400m before collapsing in a pool of blood.
He was said to have been attacked by his 15-year-old friend who held a grudge because he had shown "disrespect" in the posting on the social networking site.
Kombo, who died in a street after the attack Sunday, was said to have been threatened after commenting on another boy's profile the day before, The Sun reports.
The jibe is believed to have related to the alleged murderer not being invited to a party.

We are careering into Sodom and Gomorrah style social mayhem. Time to arm the police methinks, and shoot suspected scum on sight!
Edited to add: I must think before posting, I meant torture suspected scum.

SO19? I dont know, I try to steer clear of London as much as possible. Facebook is a pretty hateful resource though, the 'look at me, I have x number of friends, but when whittled down to the ones I have seen in the last year, or have contacted me since I made him/her a friend, I now realise I am a sad git with no friends' setup makes me chuckle!

It is SO19 they are armed all the time they are on duty, other police officers are trained in the use of firearms and can carry them.
Funny, stop and search causes huge problems with people up in arms about human rights and privacy. It seems more black kids are stopped and searched that white - especially in London, then again there is a high black population in some areas of London and a lot of gang related issues including carrying and using of knives.
You cannot have it both ways,
communities need to support the Police and vise versa, also some decent parenting/morals/boundraries would not go amis either.

I think it must be because of a lack of any kind of a decent upbringing. So many parents these days seem to have no thought about guiding their children as they grow up and let them roam the streets late at night being influenced by those of bad character. I have seen children around 6 years old on the streets after midnight!
I think the main cause of this is the break up of the family system in so many cases now and gross irresponsibility of so many so called parents towards their children. I feel that it has reached the stage now where it will get worse before there is any chance of improvement.
We will all need very high fences around our properties for our own protection!

Horrible generalisation but too many young black youths are still carrying knives around (and I'm not saying other "races" don't do either) and acting out like their "gangsta heroes" like Fiddy Cent, Acorn etc. Sad, really sad

The worst part is its entrenched in UK culture now, here's proof.
YouTube - ROUND HERE DA ESTATE MANCHESTER - M16 MOSS SIDE
This sort of thing makes me want to sneak into these people's houses late at night and dump large amounts of ecstasy into their water tanks.

It's just as stupid as the group of ***** gansta wannabe's that had a little shooting match in 2005 outside the entrance to one of the busiest downtown shopping centers in Toronto on Boxing day. The reason for it kicking off was, I believe, someone from another gang knocked the baseball cap off the head of a member from a rival gang. This is apparently disrespectful and thus worthy of a public shooting match.
The result was that an innocent 15yr old shopper was fatally shot during the crossfire.
There are a lot of gang related shootings in toronto, mainly in the Jane and Finch area, and every time we have the weeping mother (funnily enough no father in sight) blubbing on about how he was a good boy and wasn't part of a gang. Ironically one of the mothers blubbing this had found a cache of guns under her sons bed, hmm, funny, that's not the sign of a good boy to me.
I've heard news reports of attacks in nightclubs for reasons just as, if not more silly than a disrespectful text, for example "He looked at me hard" or "He bumped me on the dance floor". If you're stupid enough to attack someone because of something like this then you really need to look at yourself as you're not quite right and don't really deserve to be part of the human race.

My sister-in-law lives in Moss Side with my Nephews (and has done for about 20 years) ...... was funny when I got the Impreza in 2000 - the locals thought I was a Drugs Baron, the rumble of the boxer engine apparently meant the drugs baron was on the move around the estate!!
My car was never touched, I have to say.

Quite sad really how things are in London. Only a few weeks ago I was trying to get home from work and there were two gangs both black (I should say unfortunately as it just reinforces generalisations behaviour like that in public) beating the hell out of each other in front of the tube station at 17:30. It seemed trivial at first then just escalated and more and more teenagers were getting involved. I basically had to wait till it spilled out into the road so I could escape to go home. Everyone just stood back and left them to it.

I struggle with that whole side of black culture, the "respec", the guns, the gangs but it isnt prejudice towards anyone who is black, I have known a lot of black people and they just happen to have a different skin colour to me, that is the only difference, Chris Rock makes a good if rather agressive stab at my viewpoint, I dont use the "N" word but the sentiment is what I am identifying with, I could do a similar routine about the white underclass (aka Chav's).
