o2 will unlock your iPhone anytime if you are in contract for free.

Look at T mobile tariffs, unlimited data per month is just £5, you can bolt this onto a £10 per month tariff

I would swap to T-mobile but as you say the service is so bad then I would stay with o2 and downgrade to £20.

In July there will probably be a new iPhone, so you can look at changing then, certainly the 3Gs is not worth changing to.

Saw a news link a while back, the company involved in the CCD chips, has been asked to provide 5MP capable units to apple

Now its starting to look like a viable proposition

I have the iphone 3g and the newer 3gs. I have jail broken the 3g as I have loads of games on it. The 3gs is even better for games as its a faster cpu and once jailbroken it can even run DS games. Apart from that there isn't much difference.

I am coming to the end of my contract and was going to stick my 3g 16gb iphone on ebay. Looking at prices quickly on ebay used 16bg ones are going for over £300. Divide £300 by 18 and it works out at £16 a month bringing your new 3gs to £19 a month. Am I missing something?

Average price is £38 now they have went up a bit but then its christmas. Give it a month or two. If you buy an iphone payandgo the sim won't matter as it willbe included.

iphone, O2 UK, Adaptors, Other UK Network Sim Cards items at low prices on eBay.co.uk

I'm gonna witch to the Simplicity tariff - with he same amount of mins/texts and unlimited wifi - for approx. £20 p/m until a worthy successor to the iPhone (i.e. probably Apple's next offering) is released

I paid up early and went onto 3, I do £25 a month now and get unlimited txt, internet, 3 to 3 calls and 200 minutes of other calls included.
Screw o2, they have been ripping people off for long enough now, I hope everyone on iphone leaves them to teach them a lesson.

I'm waiting for Google's Nexus One in the new year. If it's any good I'll jump ship and go to Simplicity.
