Just got sky hd installed, trouble linking my remote to my lg tv

Just got sky hd installed, trouble linking my remote to my lg tv
none of the codes that sky give you seem to work.
Sky plus worked with my tv, then one day the batteries went dead and i could never do it again, got sky hd and thought the installation bloke would do it easy, but he just told me LG's are complicated to do and its best to check online for the right code
Has anyone Done it before or know how to? My tv is a 32" lcd, bout a year and a bit old. Found one online that was model number lh2000 but that only had 2 hdmi ports mine has 3?
Any help appreciated

where do you type in the codes,i also got sky hd this week .
works fine just when you turn the tv on(panasonic) i have to press the tv/av button on the remote.
annoying only used the proper tv remote a couple of times in the last year
