Yeah, not the best way.
Scary that he was convicted largely on the victim identifying him. Especially when the victim was only 9 years old. Probably scared NOT to pick someone out of the line-up, so just picked someone.
Just hope that the boy (now a man) has some sort of guilt over having an innocent man sent to jail for the last 35 years.

Terrible thing to lose 35 years of your life like that.
Hope the payment to him will help to get him established in a decent enough lifestyle to make up for it as much as possible.
