Anyone seen this 'special' art brick?
No wonder most nomal people take no notice of the art world when rubbish like this is considered art
BBC News - Gallery searches for stolen brick
As far as I can tell the 'special' brick in question has the artist's signature on it other than that it's just a normal brick.
So I am starting an Ebay auction soon for concrete commons signed by me ... bidding to start at £3000.

A brick? Oh dear. No doubt some moron would pay some stupid amount for it.
Perhaps I can just take a crap on a paper plate, make up some story about how it represents all that is wrong with the world today and call it art, then have someone pay £100k for it.

Is there anyone in here that can give any reasonable explanation as to why that is art....?
And, if the theif had coppied his signature on the replacement brick, would the theft have been noticed...?
And, if I buy a brick from B&Q, copy the signature and hand it in, am I in line for a reward..?

The art world has been taking the **** for years now. Largely through the offices of all those "Luvvies" who cast about and swoon over such rubbish in order to impress everyone and to con idiots out of large sums of cash!
I suppose a signed brick is at least a bit more palatable than a soiled bed in a smelly tent but its about time someone in an influential positon started to state a few remarks such as those about the "King's new clothes" etc. in order to burst the whole ridiculous bubble!
