Harriet Hardon got some real work to do!
Right in the heart of her constituency.
BBC News - More than 300 people flee their homes in Peckham fire
Amazing that everyone got out alive, especially at that time of day.
Hats off to the firefighters and residents who got everyone out before the building was destroyed.
Lets hope that she can pull one out of the bag, and give the locals some support now.
Poor buggers.

I find it distressing to see people lose their homes and possessions like that. Hope no one was seriously injured.
Don't know where HH's secondary home is-hope we dont have to buy her yet another one!

Given the layout of all the blocks there, its a blessing no more were consumed. Praise to the fire fighters.
Glad to see HH has made it onto our TV screens, from a nice warm studio, just hours after hundreds of people from her constituency lost their homes.
Lets just hope it was a quick break from emergency meetings with the local authorities etc to kick start finding these people homes.

Saw some people on the news this morning saying how cold and miserable they were. Not surprised being out on the streets with no cloths! But this one chap was really knocking the police for some reason. 'they treated us like cattle', 'they were rude', etc. Thought to myself that you were lucky they bothered to knock on your door to get you away from the fire ...... Maybe more to it than that but nothing else was explained ....
Must be awful to lose you home and possessions like that though, but as long as you were still in the land of the living ...

Tis disappointing to hear people speaking like that, suggesting they were treated badly !
No, being locked IN would have been bad treatment. Not seen this clip though.
Very emotional times, lets just hope they are getting all the help they deserve.
Every time I see the overhead pics, its shocking.
